PHOENIX — Phoenix police have identified the two individuals who died in a Nov. 28 incident that started as a shooting and ended as a traffic collision.
Shortly before 11 p.m., two motorcyclists were stopped at a traffic light at 7th Avenue and Interstate 17 when one of them fired shots at the other, police said.
A driver saw the shooting and then hit the alleged shooter with his car. That driver remained on scene, was detained for questioning and then released pending further investigation.
The two motorcycle riders were taken to the hospital. One died from gunshot wounds and the other from injuries sustained from the vehicle.
Phoenix police said they have identified the deceased victim as 36-year-old Scott Kikes and the deceased suspect as 53-year-old Job Martinez
