ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — An Atlanta-based company announced Monday it will be laying off hundreds of employees to “strengthen (its) competitiveness, deliver greater value for consumers and drive long-term value creation.”
Newell Brands, which oversees several brands including Yankee Candle, Rubbermaid, Oster, among others, will reduce its global workforce by cutting over 900 jobs.
The company said those jobs make up around 10% of professional and clerical employees. There will “limited impact on manufacturing or supply chain operations,” the company said.
“Professional and clerical separations in the United States are largely expected to occur this month, with international actions continuing through 2026, subject to local law and consultation requirements,” the company said.
