A man was arrested in Florida on Wednesday in connection with fatal shooting in Fall River over the weekend, prosecutors said.
Kendrick Williams, 32, of Fall River, is being held without bail in Jacksonville, Fla., until he can be transferred to Massachusetts, according to a statement from Bristol District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III.
The shooting on Saturday killed 31-year-old Taiquan Teixeira, Quinn’s office said in a statement.
Williams faces several charges , including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious injury, carrying a firearm, and unlawful possession of a firearm after committing a previous offense, the statement said.
