Firefighters are battling a residential fire involving two homes in northwest Calgary on Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the fire near Panorama Hills Blvd and Panamount Blvd NW around 2:05 p.m.

Calgary police officers are assisting with traffic control while the Calgary Fire Department (CFD) works to contain the blaze.

No injuries have been reported.

Officials have not confirmed whether anyone was inside the homes when the fire broke out.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

Both Panorama Hills Blvd and Panamount Blvd NW are closed in each direction as crews remain on scene. Police are urging drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
