CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Cincinnati leaders are back to square one after their plan to open a $5.5 million homeless resource center in Queensgate fell through, forcing them to find a new location.

The city was originally eyeing a building at 760 W. Fifth St., also known as the Cincinnati Museum Center’s Geier Collections and Research Center.

This 59-year-old building would have been renovated into a new year-round one-stop resource center for unhoused folks during extreme weather.

It would also provide access to mental and physical care, employment opportunities, government aid programs, and treatment for substance abuse.
