COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Hilliard man pleaded guilty Monday after being accused of using artificial intelligence to create child sexual abuse material, according to United States Attorney Dominick S. Gerace II.
The U.S. attorney's office said 35-year-old Austin Pittman pleaded guilty to distributing images of real child sexual abuse material and using AI to morph videos and photos into child sexual abuse material.
According to court documents, in January 2025, the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received multiple tips regarding Pittman’s activity on the Kik messaging app.
Pittman reportedly distributed child sexual abuse material on the app.
