Ind. (WNDU) - We’re now in December and highlighting some local upcoming food distributions.

The government shutdown had a major impact on SNAP recipients nationwide and some people are still struggling to catch up.

Our friends over at the Food Bank of Northern Indiana will be giving out food on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis throughout the month at various locations.

This week, you can catch them on Wednesday in Michigan City at Marquette Mall and Thursday in Hamlet at the Davis Township Fire Station and Community Center.

And lastly, on Friday in Wakarusa at Clayton Homes.
