MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) - The Saint Joseph PACE center is celebrating the true meaning of Christmas in Mishawaka!

Community members came out to craft their own Advent wreaths.

Even though Monday marks the first day of December, yesterday was the first day of Advent.

For those unfamiliar, Advent is the four-week period leading up to the arrival of Jesus’ birth.

The event at the PACE center allows older adults in the community to celebrate the holiday season while forming friendships with one another.

“For me faith is the center of all community. So, to have people who can come and participate helps give us the hope that we need for the future,” said Tracy Rose-Love Chaplain a part of Saint Joseph PACE.
