King Charles III and Queen Camilla will this week be joined by senior royals to welcome the German president and Elke Büdenbender to a state banquet at Windsor Castle. The Prince and Princess of Wales's attendance has not been confirmed, but royal watchers will be hoping the royal couple will join the King and Queen on the night.
One major reason? A rare opportunity to see Kate Middleton in one of the priceless tiaras from the royal collection. The Princess was notably absent from the recent Diplomatic Corps reception at Windsor Castle, where Queen Camilla memorably wore the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, once owned by Queen Elizabeth II and now most famous as the tiara worn by Princess Eugenie . So fans will be hoping for one last glittering tiara occasion before Christmas.
