Missouri City’s La Quinta Drive is getting an overhaul following poor scores in the city’s 2020 pavement condition index assessment.

The road scored from 0-12 out of 100 possible points on the PCI assessment, said Joi Johnson, Missouri City’s interim director of public works.

What residents need to know

At a Dec. 1 meeting, Missouri City City Council unanimously approved a $649,811 design contract with HDR Engineering Inc. to redesign the road from Oak Point Boulevard to Deerwood Lane.

The approximately 1.1-mile reconstruction, which is expected to cost $4.3 million, will include street reconstruction as well as storm sewer inlets and Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant sidewalks, according to agenda documents.
