An unlicensed pot shop in downtown London that was the focus of heavy police activity last week following a brazen daytime shooting in the core has been shut down by Ontario Provincial Police.
A sign could be seen taped to the front door of 264 Dundas St. on Tuesday stating the property was the subject of an interim closure order by the OPP-led Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team.
Under the Cannabis Control Act, police can issue an interim closure order to immediately close down a premises if a charge has been laid against someone for operating an unlicensed cannabis dispensary, and if illicit activity is suspected.
