7News Boston WHDH has named a replacement for a longtime anchor at the local station.

Evening anchor Jadiann Thompson — who has been with 7News for a decade — will be taking over for Kim Khazei.

Thompson and Adam Williams will co-anchor 7News at 5, 6, 10 and 11 p.m. on WHDH and 7News at 10 p.m. on WLVI (CW).

Thompson has anchored 7News at 4, 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 and 9 p.m. for the last nine years.

“7News at 9 p.m. is a viewer favorite in Boston and Jadiann is an important part of that,” WHDH-TV/WLVI-TV Vice President and General Manager Jimmy Rogers said in a statement.

“We’re thrilled to expand her time on the anchor desk in our late-night newscasts,” Rogers added. “Jadiann is a dedicated and experienced journalist. She and Adam will make an excellent team.”
