IDEA ALLEY: Three favorite recipes for chocolate meringue pie

Recipes that appear in Idea Alley have not been tested by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

The response to Sheila Yount's request for a rich chocolate meringue pie made with cocoa has been overwhelming. Thank you, Alley Kats!

So far we've received about a dozen recipes. My thanks to Naomi Butler , Little Rock Cook , J. Bar , Kath Hale , Amy Rossi , Valerie Boyce , Debby Fiser , Elizabeth Covington and Donna Davis as well as those wishing to remain unnamed.

Of the dozen, I'll publish nine or so. I decided to limit our scope to only the recipes that people had experience making or eating, as noted in the lovely family lore accompanying many of the submissions.
