LOUISVILLE, Ky. — There’s nothing like having family close to home.
For Debbie Stein, the news that her son will lead the Kentucky football program has been indescribable.
She runs the bakery Sissycakes with her sister, Blakey Martin, and said the announcement has business booming.
“Oh, my gosh. It’s absolutely crazy. The orders are exploding, so we’re going to have to turn off the website for a little while because we have a very small kitchen and a small staff, and we are usually able to keep up, but this is just next-level,” Stein said.
Will Stein, currently Oregon’s offensive coordinator, will cut the distance to his family from 2,000 miles to about 70 when the season concludes.
