Angelina Jolie will be starring in the upcoming movie Sunny and production on the thriller has already begun!

The Oscar-winning actress will play “a female gangster who fights to protect her sons — and herself — from an abusive drug kingpin. But when a devastating event occurs, she only has a matter of hours to plot their permanent escape.”

Deadline reports that the film is described as a dark thriller “in the spirit of classic mafia films.”

The movie will be directed by Eva Sørhaug with a script by William Day Frank .
