Lane Kiffin has had a lot to do during his first 48 hours as LSU’s coach .

But perhaps his busiest day on the job this offseason has yet to come. The early signing period for the 2026 recruiting class begins on Wednesday , and Kiffin is looking to secure his first class of signees at LSU.

LSU entered Tuesday with the No. 12 recruiting class in the nation, according to the 247Sports Composite. That ranking would be higher than any class he signed at Ole Miss, which never finished higher than 16th.

But can Kiffin close the deal on a signing class that would include the No. 2 player in the nation, five-star defensive lineman Lamar Brown? And will LSU’s new coach flip commitments at the 11th hour to beef up the class?
