Gov. Tina Kotek on Tuesday announced an economic development roadmap for Oregon to make the state more business-friendly and attract investment amid financial headwinds. She also announced a new senior position, Chief Prosperity Officer, to lead the effort.
Kotek unveiled "Oregon's Prosperity Roadmap" at a press conference held at Lam Research in Tualatin. Lam, a semiconductor manufacturing equipment maker with roughly 2,700 Portland-area employees , recently invested $65 million in a new research and development building with capacity to add up to 700 employees.
