The holiday season is here.
The city of La Verne held its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony this week, signaling the start of the season in the city, and Santa himself joined in the festivities.
Mayor Tim Hepburn on Monday evening, Dec. 1, flipped the switch on the live tree, that stands about 25 feet tall in front of City Hall.
Bonita High School Chamber Singers performed during the festive ceremony and Santa and Mrs. Claus surprised those in attendance, arriving on a city fire truck.
