TEXARKANA (KSLA) - Law enforcement and firefighters from both sides of the Arkansas/Texas state line helped nearly 300 children with their Christmas shopping during the annual “Shop With A Cop” event Tuesday, Dec. 2.
The Texarkana, Ark. and Texas police departments gave children $150 each to spend on holiday gifts. Arkansas officials served 140 kids at the Texarkana, Ark. Walmart, while Texas officials sponsored 128 kids at the Target store in Texarkana, Texas.
“I feel so excited. This is going to be the best day of my life,” said Zendaya, one of the shoppers. “It was really good.”
