A 16-year-old girl who died following a minibus crash in Tadcaster has now been formally named.

North Yorkshire Police were called to the scene on Monday, December 1, after a collision involving a minibus and a car. The teenager who lost her life has been identified as Eleanor “Ellie” Hague, 16, from Sherburn-in-Elmet. She was a student at Tadcaster Grammar School.

Ellie’s family are being supported by specially trained officers, and her loved ones have released photographs of her as the community comes to terms with the tragedy, Yorkshire Live reported.
