OMAHA, Neb. —
The Omaha Inland Port Authority held its first public stakeholders meeting on Tuesday.
Executive Director Garry Clark, who took on the role this summer, shared updates on the major focuses, the Innovation District and the Airport Business Park.
"We are not here to displace," Clark told attendees. "We're not here to erase. We're not here to simply look and speak, but we're here to invest. We're here to collaborate. We are here to build community. Our purpose today is simple transparency, clarity, trusting and building."
Clark said the port authority's Board of Commissioners will see a full report on plans for an Innovation District soon. He also said the Airport Business Park has options on properties. He said the park is moving "maybe faster than people were expecting."
