FORT MOHAVE — The Mohave County Sheriff's Office provided no new information Tuesday into a weapons offense at an elementary school that resulted in charges against an 8-year-old student.

The boy was booked into the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center in Kingman after allegedly bringing a loaded handgun onto the campus of Fort Mojave Elementary School on Monday. After the boy initially showed other students the gun then allegedly handed it off to another student, another student reported the weapon to the school principal. ×
