SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Shreveport Police Department has arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a child.
Police say during the investigation, they did a forensic interview with the victim, who told them details of the alleged sexual assault. More interviews were also done with the child’s guardian and siblings.
On Monday, Dec. 1, police spoke with Carlos Hernandez-Torres, 27, of Lubbock, Texas, at the Shreveport City Jail, where he was already being held for an unrelated incident.

Hernandez-Torres is now being charged with:
Molestation of a juvenile
Sexual battery of a victim under age 13 (felony)
Police say the victim in this case is under age 7.
