WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) — A former Wichita teacher will stand trial after she was charged with having unlawful sexual relations with a student.
Nicole Baird appeared in Sedgwick County court on Tuesday, where a judge ruled there is enough evidence for her to stand trial on four counts of unlawful sexual relations with a student.
Court records state Baird, who was an art teacher at Wichita North High School, initiated a relationship with a male student when he was a sophomore.
She was arrested in May and charged in June with four counts of unlawful sexual relations with a student over the age of 16. She’s set for arraignment on Dec. 19.
