STOCKTON, Calif. —
The 14-year-old who was killed over the weekend at a Stockton mass shooting during a child's birthday party has been identified, according to a GoFundMe page by his family .
Amari Peterson was among the four who were fatally shot at the birthday celebration at Lucile Avenue and Thornton Road.
"No parent should ever have to bury their child," the GoFundMe read. "No family should ever go from planning birthdays to planning funerals."
The web page described Peterson as a football player, a basketball player, a brother, son and cousin who was simply "being a kid at a kids' party."
Officials said 11 people were also injured in the Saturday shooting in unincorporated Stockton.
