A British man has been stabbed during a brawl outside a beach club near the city of Phuket in Thailand in the early hours of this morning.

Louis Johe Jarvie suffered a knife wound in his right arm after he got into a fight with a ‘large foreign man’ in Bang Tao beach, in Cherng Talay, which is a popular destination for foreigners.

The 34-year-old was taken to Thalang Hospital, where he is still recovering from his injuries.

Than Sirichai, a volunteer paramedic, said: ‘At around 12.1 am, we received a report that a foreign national had been injured in a stabbing incident, sustaining multiple severe bleeding wounds.

“Upon arrival, we found a British man sitting on the ground. He was barely conscious and required constant stimulation to stay awake.
