Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin has backed his star full-back Nicky Devlin in his dream of heading to a World Cup with Scotland next summer.
The defender has been one of the standout players for the Dons in recent weeks, helping tighten up the defence while scoring Sunday's winner against his former club Livingston.
Devlin won the first of his two Scotland caps back last October during the Nations League, but Thelin reckons he could put himself back into contention for Steve Clarke's squad, writes Record Sport .
Thelin said: "Every year you play football. Sometimes when you don't have the legs or whatever, when you get a bit older, you can still use your brain and play smarter and maybe in a new position.
