A new Edinburgh hotel will transform an '80s New Town office building in a 'vibrant' location. Planning consent has been granted for a 102-bedroom Hub by Premier Inn on Broughton Street.
The structure, Albany House, is currently occupied by a legal firm, who will be moving offices in 2026. The project comes from a partnership between Artisan Real Estate and Whitbread.
Albany House was constructed to reflect the Georgian townhouses in the area, and will be redeveloped by summer 2027. The plans will retain most of the external structure, replacing the top floor facade.
Internally, the hotel will be built to 'high environmental and sustainability standards'. A lounge and dining space for guests is also included in the plans.
