An Edinburgh MSP who was suspended from Labour after a sexual harassment complaint could exit Holyrood . Foysol Choudhury was selected for the Edinburgh Northern seat earlier this year, which he could lose in the next election.
Choudhury sits an independent MSP. The Daily Record previously revealed that the complaint was by a staffer at Holyrood.
Labour reopened the selection process on Wednesday, December 3, and have back an all-women shortlist. Members who are suspended are unable to contest selections.
Choudhury could contest the election as an independent. Internal party rules also state that only constituency candidates can stand for the regional lists at Holyrood. Female members who wish to be considered as a candidate for the Edinburgh seat have to apply by noon on December
