A popular pasta spot is set to open its first Edinburgh restaurant after finding success in Glasgow . Sugo Pasta launched on Mitchell Street back in 2019, and bosses look set to open a second spot in Glasgow on Cresswell Lane.
They've also set their sights on expanding east, with a planning application put to Edinburgh Council for new signage on George Street. Sugo was acquired by restaurant group Di Maggio's Restaurant Group (DRG) in 2024 - at the same time as pizza eatery Paesano, who are also set to open a spot in the capital.
DRG have plans to expand both Sugo and Paesano to more locations 'north and south of the border'. On Tuesday, December 2, they confirmed the second Glasgow location opening on their Instagram.
