Mark Villada was busy planning his wedding to his fiancée, Elise, when he was seriously injured in a car crash.

The accident, which occurred in October, left the Connecticut unable to walk due to multiple broken bones and fractured vertebrae, per local outlet WFSB . Mark was brought to Gaylord, a long-term acute care hospital in Wallingford, Conn., to begin a rehabilitation program to help him relearn how to move.
