Kansas City, Missouri police are investigating a homicide Wednesday morning.

Police said they found a man dead on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds in the 2500 block of Hardesty Avenue around 1:30 a.m.

Detectives are trying to determine who shot the man and what led up to the incident.
