Lynnville residents got their first utility bills under the new schedule of higher utility bills.
The town attorney says the water and sewer utilities have been losing money since 2009.
The new rates will balance the organization’s budget and bring rates to where they should be.
But customers say the new rates are too high.
They took to social media this week to discuss their frustrations.
The town council voted in September to raise the sewer rate by 60% and the water rate by 67%.
