There is "much more work to do" to address Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service's leadership concerns, the government's inspectorate has said.
The fire service was visited by His Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) in August and September last year and identified a series of concerns.
HMICFRS said the service's leaders were not "managing effectively" and highlighted a "lack of strategic focus on key people areas".
The inspectorate revisited Suffolk fire service and found it had "invested time and resources to develop its action plan"
It also praised the £1.6million investment to support the Chief Fire Officer, Jon Lacey, to improve the service’s culture.
