At least 20 people were displaced by an overnight apartment fire in Richmond, B.C., on Tuesday.
Richmond Fire Rescue said crews responded to reports of the blaze at Seventh Avenue and Broadway Street just before 8 p.m. and arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the building's upper floor.
Crews were able to contain the fire and get everyone evacuated, Richmond Fire Rescue said in a statement.
No injuries have been reported, but at least 20 people were displaced, according to assistant deputy chief of operations Grant Wyenberg.
The fire's cause is under investigation and the city’s emergency response services are helping the displaced residents.
