Sewer project closes High Street bridge, streets in downtown Muncie

MUNCIE, IN — City streets leading to and near the High Street bridge in downtown Muncie will be closed for about two months for a sewer project.

Muncie Sanitary District officials announced the closings in a Facebook posting on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

The closings — already in effect — had been referred to at Monday meetings of the Delaware County commissioners and Muncie City Council. Officials at those meetings expressed surprise that the bridge and streets were closed.
