PHOENIX — An iconic central Phoenix steakhouse that has been closed for nearly nine months will soon welcome diners once again.
Durant’s, which has been located near Central Avenue and Thomas Road for the past 75 years, announced on its website that it will reopen on Dec. 17.
This follows a sale earlier this year to Mike and Jeff Mastro, their father Dennis and their business partner, Scott Trolio, the group behind popular Valley restaurants Steak 44, Ocean 44 and Dominick’s Steakhouse.
The Mastro brothers were named semifinalists in the James Beard Award’s outstanding restaurateur category in 2020.
