PHOENIX — Like they always say, "What's old is new again."

An iconic Phoenix steakhouse is getting new life and reopening its doors to guests.

Durant's Steakhouse on Central Avenue near Thomas Road has been closed since February , but new owners have revitalized the popular restaurant and are set to reopen.

Guests can return to the steakhouse starting on Dec. 17, according to the restaurant's website .

"Owners of the Valley’s Dominick’s Steakhouse, Steak 44 and Ocean 44 Get Ready to Write the Next Chapter of the Durant’s Story," a statement read on the site.

Durant's was initially opened 75 years ago and quickly became a part of Phoenix lore. It was a hotspot for politicians, celebrities and local leaders for decades.
