The South East Cornerstone Public School Division is reporting graduation rates that continue to outpace the provincial average, a trend school administration attributes to targeted classroom support and strong attendance numbers.

According to data, the division’s three-year graduation rate currently sits at 87 per cent, well above the provincial average of 79 per cent.

Director of Education Keith Keating says the division has identified a clear link between student presence in the classroom and their eventual success on graduation day. The division’s attendance rate is currently 81 per cent, three points higher than the provincial average of 78 per cent.
