PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- At the Drexel Food Lab, students are sharpening their skills to become the next generation of culinary professionals.
The program provides them both a space to practice, and opportunities to get real world experience.
"Drexel Food Lab...is a food product development and culinary innovation lab. We engage students around the university to develop new food products and improve the health of people, planet and economies," said Professor of Culinary Arts & Science at Drexel Food Lab, Jonathan Deutsch.
"A lot of parents and kids don't know what a food product developer is, or a supply chain manager, or a food innovation person. And so we want to make more people aware of these great opportunities career wise," he continued.
