A school learning support assistant told pupils he had a gun at home, had killed 250 people and had the military codename "Kill Switch". Scott John Trigg-Turner knew the comments were untrue or misleading, a professional standards hearing was told.
He made the comments to a year eight class at Basseleg School in Newport as he told them, falsely, that he had had been in the US marines, still had a gun from active service and had been a sniper, an Education Workforce Council Wales (EWC) panel was told on Wednesday.
When pupils asked Trigg-Turner, a wheelchair user, how he was in the American marines with a disability, he told them he had been given a special electric scooter, fellow learning support
