DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Dartmouth Police Department said that a New Bedford man was accused of exposing himself to two detectives at Harry Reynold’s Park on Nov. 26.
61-year-old Francisco Tavares was charged with open and gross lewdness and lewd, wanton, and lascivious conduct.
The department said it had received reports of individuals exposing themselves on the trails of the park.
An investigation allegedly found that the individuals would use social media to meet at locations for sexual activity, and the park was one location.
Undercover detectives at the park alleged that they saw Tavares enter the trails, and then approached him.
Tavares then allegedly exposed himself to the detectives after a short conversation, and the detectives then identified themselves and detained him
