Ashley James, known for her appearances on This Morning, has revealed she is stepping down from her role as an ambassador for Girlguiding. This comes after she made a career announcement earlier this year.

The decision comes in response to the organisation's recent ban on transgender girls joining their ranks.

In a statement, Girlguiding said: "Trans girls and young women , and others not recorded female at birth, will no longer be able to join Girlguiding as new young members."

Ashley expressed her disappointment with the decision, stating it "exclude trans girls has devastated me", and emphasised that trans girls "are not a threat".
