On Wednesday at 2:23 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement until 10 p.m. for Northern Clinton and Northern Centre as well as Warren, McKean, Potter, Elk, Cameron, Clearfield, Cambria, Blair, Somerset and Bedford counties.
"Snow is expected to reach the western Alleghenies along the Route 219 corridor early Thursday and could result in slippery roads and reduced visibility during the morning commute. Snow may also reach portions of Interstate 99. Although snow amounts are expected to less than 1 inch in most locations, motorists should be prepared for travel delays or disruptions. A few heavier bursts of snow or an isolated snow squall are also possible early Thursday most likely to the north of Route 6," adds the weather service.
