KENTWOOD, MI -- A 29-year-old man was arrested for alleged drunken driving following a three-vehicle Kentwood crash that seriously injured one person.

The crash happened about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2 on Shaffer Avenue SE near Wingate Avenue.

Kentwood police said a 41-year-old woman was driving a Nissan Sentra going north on Shaffer Avenue when a collision occurred with a northbound Nissan Titan pickup and a southbound Ford F250 pickup towing a trailer.

The Sentra driver was seriously injured and taken to a hospital.

The Nissan Titan driver was taken to the Kent County jail on suspicion of drunken driving. The Ford pickup driver was released at the scene, although it wasn’t clear if he required any treatment.
