A Saskatoon-area woman who was charged with first-degree murder in the death of her husband will stand trial on the lesser charge of second-degree murder.

Warman RCMP got a call around 7 a.m. CST on Aug. 23, 2024 about an injured man at a home in the rural municipality of Corman Park, which encompasses areas on the outskirts of Saskatoon.

Police said they found a 42-year-old man, who was declared dead by paramedics at the scene. The man was identified as Magowan.
