MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. — Officials have identified the woman who drowned at Lake Havasu on Dec. 1 after she reportedly fell off a boat.
The Mohave County Sheriff's Office said the drowning was reported at about 2 p.m. north of Cattail Cove State Park. Deputies learned a woman had fallen overboard and not resurfaced.
Divers later recovered the woman in about 20 feet of water and she was taken to the hospital where she died. MCSO identified the deceased woman as 35-year-old Rennea Thompson of California.
The incident reportedly occurred as the captain of a houseboat was attempting to re-anchor due to winds.
