ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Rowan County officials are urging residents to stay vigilant this holiday season as reports of package thefts and home break-ins rise as we approach the holiday season.
Right now, the Salisbury Police Department is searching for two individuals believed to be connected to several recent residential break-ins. Authorities say crimes like these tend to spike as more gifts are delivered and homes are left unattended during work hours.
Rowan County Sheriff Travis Allen said thieves are often driving through neighborhoods looking for opportunities.
“We all know that the holiday season there’s going to be more gifts and more gifts on porches than before,” Allen said.
