THUNDER BAY — All staff, volunteers and patients' care partners will be required to wear a Level 3 mask in the Emergency Department, anywhere on the 1A Medicine and 1A Acute Oncology units, and when entering any inpatient room at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, starting Thursday.
The measure was announced Wednesday in anticipation of an uptick in respiratory illnesses that typically starts around this time of year.
Level 3 masks will also be required whenever staff, volunteers or patients' care partners are unable to maintain six feet of physical distance from patients.
