FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - WOWO’s 100-year legacy reaches far beyond 21country. Just ask Kayla Blakeslee, who grew up in Pennsylvania.

“I heard about WOWO at a young age, and how, you know, during World War II, our veterans and folks at home were listening to WOWO to hear an update on their loved ones overseas,” she said.

Blakeslee said knowing about the station’s history is what drew her to WOWO 15 years ago.

“It was just a dream of mine always to tell people stories, and I figured why not tell people stories on a station that is so legendary, like WOWO,” she said.

She also said her love for WOWO isn’t just about the station’s history; it’s about the people.
